Start Here - Trust me. It's all connected
It used to be red heals and corporate client meetings. Now I prefer these.

I just watched the news and now I'm staring out the window with a cup of tea. I might be rolling my eyes so hard it will count as calisthenics for the day, so I'll keep it simple. I have a low threshold for boredom and zero tolerance for bullshit. I've learned to live with bullshit.

I’m Skylar, a storyteller, artist, and former owner of a public relations agency in the San Francisco Bay area (Silicon Valley). Find me on other platforms: Instagram, Substack,  and YouTube. I have an XTwitter account but stopped posting there - @skyburton28 - as it's become mostly chaos agents.

Below is an introduction to what you will find on this website.

What's Here

Favorite section is Pulse for my thoughts and analysis (not politics). Unfiltered. Sometimes controversial. Often about the music industry, technology, AI, public relations. Opinions. Some posts are also on Substack.

Scroll through my Lookbook for a glance into who I am, savor the savage truth about love in Bittersweet, tray tables up for Jetlag travel stories.

ShortForm is for flash fiction, photo collages, unfiltered truth, poetry, and things on my mind in shortform.

Go here if you are curious why I called the site 424.

Road Tripping is a diary of my many road travel stories including the two years working and volunteering while towing a small trailer around the USA (2014-2015, by choice). All true, a little quirky, sometimes nostalgic. Follow me on my other Instagram account (gps_isfor_quitters) for those posts.

If you like sci-fi check the stories in Elements. Chapter by chapter! All the locations, conferences and computer-related events are places I've been and things I've done. It's not finished because I couldn't decide how to end it! It just become stories now as I've focused on other things.

Don't forget the Merch page for art, objects and FREE digital downloads. I frequently do giveaways of downloadables. So check back there occasionally.

Much of what you read on these pages is true. A few more questions answered here on FAQs (I'll be updating that frequently).

If that sounds intriguing, stick around, subscribe, join the newsletter, or help maintain my coffee addiction by becoming a member.
