Moments that Live

Moments that Live
Trust me. Strange things are happening. Not sure I'm ready yet to tell you about the pink suitcase but here's a picture of it to the left. Taken in Montevideo, Uruguay it had no idea what was about to happen. Neither did I.

Welcome to the scrapbook of my eclectic-soaked existence. Each frame here is a heartbeat—some bright enough to sunburn, others in deep shadow. You’ll see bright moments and quiet clicks: the empty pathway after goodbye, the suitcase that changed color (long story), the thin line between resilience and wreckage.

The energy of California, the timeless beauty of Venice, the rhythm of Rio, and the ancient spirit of Athens have all left their mark on me. Travel has a way of grounding you, reminding you that the world is vast, yet every corner holds its own story waiting to be discovered.
Captured in black and white, these photos capture just a fraction of me. I'm a traveler, a storyteller, and a seeker. I've lived a life of eclectic experience but not always best choices. I’ve embraced both the spontaneous and the structured as well as the defiant and damaged. I've written about the chaos of the music industry, the quiet moments alone on the road, the heroes and the ghosts, and I plan on staying around a little longer to see what else I can expose. Lately, I've been in that kind of mood which is why I put much of my writing right here on this website.

I used to do a lot of painting but now I spend more time writing. At one time I was a gallery represented artist in Palo Alto, California. The most unusual art I've done, I think, were the creation of my walking sticks. I'll make a post about that because it's not something people usually do.
Over the past two years I’ve immersed myself in the energy of 22 concerts across as many cities. Each show wasn’t just about the music—it was an experience, a lesson in the connections made with fellow concertgoers, and the music that sculpts sound into therapy. Every concert deepened my appreciation for life’s unpredictability and the incredible ways music and travel expanded my perspective.
I've mostly lived by the water and some of my favorite memories remain there. The one of my son feeding pigeons on the Monterey Bay pier (aka. Fisherman's Wharf in Monterey, California) is a moment that will always live on even though he is a full-on adult now.
I don't always stay at expensive hotels but every once in awhile I splurge and when I do it's the details that intrigue me. It's not about how fancy or expensive the furniture looks or the many amenities I don't typically use. It's the small details I love that go unnoticed by most people.
